From a single CNC machine to a full studio — the story of AlohaKarve.
AlohaKarve was born in a small garage workshop with one 3-axis CNC router, a passion for woodworking, and a belief that art should be accessible without sacrificing quality. What started as weekend projects quickly became something people wanted on their walls.
Every design begins as a hand-sketched concept, refined into a precision digital file, and then carved from solid hardwood — teak, walnut, and oak selected for their grain, density, and beauty. Each piece is individually sized — large enough to command a room, precise enough to capture every detail.
We don't do 4-axis undercuts or mass-production shortcuts. Every piece is a flat-relief original, finished by hand, and shipped directly from our studio to your home.
We use solid hardwood — teak, walnut, and oak — never MDF, composites, or shortcuts. The grain you see is the grain that grew.
Our 3-axis CNC router achieves tolerances impossible by hand, while staying true to the spirit of traditional relief carving. Technology in service of artistry.
Designed, carved, finished, and shipped from our studio. Supporting local suppliers and keeping our craft close to home is non-negotiable.
Every piece starts as a hand-sketched concept, refined into a detailed vector file optimized for relief carving depth and shadow.
We hand-select each hardwood panel for grain direction, density, and character. No two pieces are ever exactly alike.
Our 3-axis CNC router carves the design in multiple passes, achieving up to 0.5 inch relief depth across the panel.
Each piece is hand-sanded, inspected, and finished with a natural oil that protects the wood and deepens the grain color.
